General Tao Tofu

with broccoli, cashews and green onions

1. Cook the rice Bring a pot with 1.5 2P | 2 3P cups of water to a boil. Pour the rice, cover and cook on low heat for 11-12 minutes.
2. Setup Chop the garlic and ginger. Grate or cut the carrot into small pieces. Pat dry and dice the tofu. Mince the green onion. Mix the General Tao sauce with the garlic and ginger. Cut the broccoli into small pieces. Chop the nuts.
3. Roast the nuts In a pan over medium-high heat, roast the cashews for 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
4. Cook the tofu Mix the tofu with the cornstarch and a generous pinch of salt. In the same pan, over medium-high, heat a generous drizzle of oil. Cook the tofu for 5-6 minutes until it becomes golden. Add the carrots and broccoli and cook 3-4 minutes.
5. Add the sauce Add the General Tao sauce to the pan. Cook 1 minute. To respect the food preferences of our children, leave some tofu pieces aside without the sauce, they could dip them instead.
6. Plate your dish Serve the tofu with the rice and sauce. Garnish with the green onion and cashews. Serve each part of the meal family-style and let children make their own plate. Bon appétit!
