Step by step

1. Bake the fries

Preheat oven to 425°F. Cut the potatoes into thin fries. Mix with a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper. Put on a tray with baking paper and cook in the oven for 20-22 minutes.


2. Setup

Chop the shallot and the basil. Cut the apple into small sticks. Thinly slice the lettuce.


3. Make the salad

Set aside a bit of lettuce for the burgers. Mix the rest with the apple, half of the basil and half of the shallot, a drizzle of oil, 1 tbsp of cider or wine vinegar, salt and pepper. To help children get accustomed to new flavors, you can have them smell the basil and the raw shallot before adding it to the recipe.


4. Make the patties

Drain the tuna. Mix it with the rest of shallot, basil, the egg and the breadcrumbs. Add salt and pepper. Mix and form one patty per person.


5. Cook the patties

Heat a generous drizzle of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side.


6. Plate your dish

Warm up the buns in the oven 1for -2 minutes. Garnish with the mayonnaise (to taste), the patties and the rest of lettuce . Serve with the fries and the salad. Serve each part of the meal family-style and let your children make their own burger. Bon appétit!
