1. Adjust the step of the recipe for your children

To respect the food preferences of our children, it's possible to adjust the recipe for them. Rather than make grilled cheese, you can make tartines for your children. One with mayo and tomatoes, one with pesto and zucchini. They can see each of the elements without seeing them mixed.

2. Setup

Thinly slice the tomato(es) into rounds and the zucchini(s) into strips. Slice the cheese.

3. Cook the zucchini

Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the slices of zucchini(s) for 1-2 minutes on each side until slightly brown. Add salt and pepper. Remove from the pan.

4. Assemble the sandwich

Garnish the slices of bread with the pesto, the cheese, the zucchini(s), the tomato(es), the basil, salt and pepper. Close the sandwich and spread the mayonnaise on both sides. Put the grilled cheese in a pan over medium heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until brown.

Slice and serve. Bon appétit!
